Music and artwork for 'Better Use of Me' was completed in June 2009 (about 1 year after we started recording). Unfortunately my designer’s (and good friend's) laptop containing the finished artwork and all original photos was stolen. After searching through old emails etc etc, I found the details for the album artwork and the designer was back on the case.

While this was happening, I was in a state of confusion with how to find the money to print the album. Pride and part guilt would not allow me take a loan from a friend. As most of you know, my personal circumstances since embarking on the album project had been flipped upside down so any wage I received was channelled to my new family.

I researched the options to get the album printed: artist management, labels or simply a small distribution deal. Yes, I became flustered and stepped to the side for awhile to finish my university study. The album, the band, the next step, remained circling in my mind.

I have decided enough is enough. I like the album, the band deserves to be heard – especially due to all the long hours my lovely friends put in to rehearsing, tweaking, recording and performing my music. For this I am eternally grateful.

What I have done is set up an album only bank account. When the amount in the account reaches NZ$2,500 I will press 250 albums. I am asking you to pre-purchase the album for NZ$25 and once the goal amount is reached I will post your copy direct to you. Thursday 12th November 9pm on...

I have just loaded up a live recording of one of my new tunes "Holy Water". It was recorded at the School of music on the 20th Sept 09 direct to 4 track. This tune is in its infancy, I dont even have lyrics for the end section as yet but I dig it ....so here it is, enjoy!!
